After spending a week in the far western NSW desert at Fowlers Gap—110km north of Broken Hill—Kayleigh embarked on a second residency at At The Above, extending her immersion for another two weeks. She painted with urgency, driven by a need to translate the vastness and fragility of the landscape into form. This gallery documents her time spend at At The Above.
Through the artist’s lens, a dialogue emerged—one that wove together the experience of place, the principles of regenerative agriculture, and the urgent need for change. This work became a response to shifting land management practices and raising awareness of the landscape’s precarious state on a national scale.
